Austin City Limits.

This past weekend was the Austin City Limits music festival, an event I hold dear to my heart, but sadly was unable to attend this year. Instead of pining away for my lost musical cause, I thought I'd share an image from one of my favorite projects in Austin by Texas firm Lake|Flato. Established in 1984, this team of architects creates buildings that are tactile, modern, authentic and fully engaged with the surrounding landscape. William Turnbull (another one of my favorites) described their work as "architecture that intrigues the mind, delights the soul, and refreshes the eye with its elegant detail and simplicity. Timeless architecture needn't shout..."
