Design Therapy is spending the weekend in Dallas visiting family, so we thought this would be a perfect opportunity to highlight someone from the Lone Star State whose work we admire, Dallas based interior designer Emily Summers. Named one of Architectural Digest's top 100 designers, Summers uses a spare modern approach to create elegant and fresh contemporary interiors that intergrate art and architecture. With clients throughout Texas as well as Aspen, Colorado and Jackson Hole, Wyoming she has developed quite a reputation for her use of restraint. Summers says she "loves serene rooms where art is more important than wallcoverings" and she subcribes to the theory that "a room is finished when you cannot remove something without its being missed..." We couldn't agree more. Hope everyone has a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week! (if you feel like smiling...be sure to click on Dallas!)

Beautiful spaces...I'd not heard of her before. Have a fun weekend!
Love the title! Finally an apropos usage of that recently exploited and abused word. Great post.
