We just got back from an amazing, fun-filled weekend in Connecticut and stayed with our dear friend who has Galerie Van Den Akker here in the city. His home is everything we've ever dreamed of having and is practically perfect in every way (if it had been on a lake, we would have had no choice but to shoot him dead and move in!). He's not ready for us to show pictures of his house just yet, but he did turn us on to a house for sale in the area and we have to say, we've never really seen anything quite like it.

The house in the above photos is truly a one-of-a-kind marriage of art, architecture, and technology by Richard T. Foster, renowned architect and collaborator of Philip Johnson, and is a real architectural gem that captures the wonderful landscape from unlimited angles. Totally renovated in 2005, the "Round House" is walled in glass and floats 12 ft. off the ground rotating 360 degrees. Yes-you read completely spins all the way around. It incorporates custom ash cabinetry, state-of-the-art Zenon interior lighting, luxurious marble & limestone baths, "Smart House" technology in the main house & studio, and a new gunite lap pool by Wagner that overlooks the surrounding landscape. A setting for both casual & formal entertaining, visitors are fascinated by this rare concept of living. The house is currently on the market and could be yours for the low, low price of $2,295,000! Come on...why not make an offer? To see the actual listing of the house click here and then be sure and watch the video below for a grand tour.
