In an era when Design's Within Reach, sometimes we find ourselves longing for what will become the new classics. However, there are still a number of brilliant pieces from the 20th century that haven't necessarily attained the same iconic status as say the Eames Lounge Chair or Noguchi Coffee Table. Surprisingly, some of these more obscure designs are still being manufactured.

We're excited to introduce you to edition20, a brand new website that offers all those interested in design an online research platform for 20th-century design classics. Unlike regular reference works, edition20 covers exclusively design classics that are still being produced around the world under the original license.

The data available on edition20 took more than 10 years of constant research to assemble, necessitating extensive travel and innumerable discussions and visits to fairs and auctions in order to develop a comprehensive overview of design classics still in production. While you can't buy directly from edition20, you can be directed straight to each manufacturer's website to find out exactly how to order what you're interested in. We think this is an incredible resource and we've already pulled a few of favorite items which we've showcased above.
