The Office.

We were recently asked by Williams-Sonoma Home to be a part of their Designer Series and offer up some tips on how to design a home office. More and more people are now working from home and we think this growing trend requires a little more thought and creativity than simply setting up a desk, pulling up a chair and switching on your computer. This is your home after all, and we think it's important for it to represent your personality as well as transition smoothly into other areas of the house so that it doesn't serve as a constant reminder of all the things you still need to cross off your to do list. Click here to read the entire article and then for an added bonus, click here to see our interview with Williams-Sonoma's Designer Marketplace on a topic we feel strongly about: The Importance of Social Media. And speaking of Social Media, if you haven't become a fan of Design Therapy on Facebook it's not too late .... all you have to do is click here!

Home offices definately need to "warm up" and become beautiful extensions of the house (as I sit here looking at a messy desk with magazines, coin jars, and cords everywhere!)

Brad..I have always loved the crystal block lamp but never thought of it in an office. Brilliant! Read your article on social media and so agree but do miss the stacks of shelter mags available at my local Barnes & Noble. It is a real treat, now, to find a magazine to take on the plane and I am enjoying even more the look and feel of paper and the ability to turn back the corner to mark a page I love. Oh well...that's progress.

Thanks for a great post.
